Megan A. Hayes

Megan A. Hayes
Director, Regulatory and Standards Strategy
Medical Imaging & Technology Association (MITA), a division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)

 

Prior to assuming her role at MITA, Ms. Hayes served as the technical director for the Lighting Systems Division at NEMA where she was responsible for overseeing NEMA’s technical programs, including participation in UL standards development, input into the National Electric Code and development of standards and white papers related to lighting. Prior to joining NEMA, Megan served as Senior Manager, Technology & Standards for the Consumer Electronics Association, where she was responsible for the organization’s international standards programs, product safety activity and development of standards for audio systems, portable, handheld and in-vehicle technologies and wireless power.

 

Megan is the chair emeritus of the ANSI Board of Standards Review, a member of the USNC Council and the vice chair of the USNC Communication and Continuing Education Committee. She is a recipient of the ANSI Next Generation Award for her vision, leadership, dedication and significant contributions to standardization.

Terri Wilson, MBA, BS, CNMT

Terri has over ten years of experience in molecular imaging sales, marketing, policy, education, as well as expertise in the unique regulatory and reimbursement environment of PET imaging. Her recent industry leadership participation includes IDEAS Stud, beta amyloid CED. She is a certified nuclear medicine technologist and works as the Director of Molecular Imaging & PET at MITA in Arlington, Virginia.

Lyle Muhammad, RT (R), MBA, syngo Dynamics Clinical Marketing Manager, Siemens Healthcare

Lyle has extensive experience in cardiac care of adult and pediatric patients, radiology, cardiac cath lab, and radiology special procedures (neuro and peripheral angiography/interventional procedures). Prior to joining Siemens, he held the position as the Cardiovascular Service Line Director at The Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston, Texas.
 

Donald Carpenter, BSN, MSN ACNP, RCIS, syngo Dynamics Senior Product Manager, Siemens Healthcare

Donald has an extensive background in cardiovascular service lines and clinical practice in acute hospital settings. He has held positions as a critical care nurse, an acute care nurse practitioner and a manager of a cath lab. In his present position at Siemens, Donald is responsible for managing the syngo Dynamics product line which addresses cardiovascular IT solutions.

Tina Hodgson, MSc, DMU, DRC(R)

Ms. Hodgson is the Global Segment Manager for Radiology within the Ultrasound Headquarters in Mountain View, California. Originally from the UK, Tina has lived and worked in many countries with over 20 years of experience in ultrasound. In particular, she has worked closely with physicians worldwide over the 7 years since Siemens first introduced shear wave elastography/ARFI as well as with researchers in the USA prior to its FDA clearance in 2013. As a result, Tina has an excellent understanding of how these technologies can assist with the ever-increasing clinical and financial challenges physicians face today.
 



Ultrasound Cardiac Imaging

Mani Vannan, MD

(Speaking in Dallas and Boston)


Dr. Mani Vannan, MBBS, FACC, FAHA, FASE is a pioneer in the field of Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Imaging. He has been a clinical cardiologist, educator and investigator for over 15 15 years. He started his career graduating from medical school in India and then trained in the United Kingdom before pursuing further cardiology practice in the US. He has been at the forefront of advanced imaging technologies, techniques and how these practices are applied in clinical practice. Dr. Vannan’s current passion is integrated cardiovascular imaging where a collaborative effort is made across different
modalities to address questions for a given disease to aid in clinical-decision making and guide interventions and management. He is currently Chief, Cardiovascular Imaging and Echocardiography at the Piedmont Heart Institute in Atlanta, Georgia.

Lissa Sugeng MD, MPH

(Speaking in Tampa)


Dr. Lissa Sugeng specializes in echocardiography with a focus on Three-Dimensional Echocardiography and the incorporation of 3D echo in routine clinical practice and interventional echocardiography. Her interest in 3D echo began in 1993 and continues her passion today as an Associate Professor of Medicine in Cardiology for the Yale School of Medicine. She received her M.D. from Udayana University, her M.P.H. from Boston University, did her Cardiology Training at the University of Chicago and has been a Board Certified physician in Cardiovascular Disease since 2002. She has been recognized in her achievements as an educator from the University of Chicago in 2008 when she received the Rory Childers Teaching Award and, also in 2011 as the recipient of the Cardiology Teaching Award from Yale University. Dr. Sugeng also has a robust knowledge of the development of 3D echo technology and has over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, numerous book chapters in echocardiography, as well as extensive experience with multiple structural heart disease clinical trials. She currently is the Director of Yale Echolab and YCRG Echo Corelab.

 

Robert Burke, MD
(Speaking in Orange County)


Dr. Robert Burke is is a noninvasive Cardiologist at Scottsdale Healthcare Heart Group. He completed his Echocardiography and General Cardiology training at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and completed his training in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and served as the Chief Medical Resident in Scottsdale during the the opening of the Mayo Clinic Hospital. Dr. Burke received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School after completing his undergraduate training at Rutgers University. Dr. Burke is Board Certified in Cardiology, and Echocardiography.

 

Dr. Burke has been involved in clinical research throughout his training at the Mayo Clinic and has presented at multiple national conferences. He continues to be involved in research through the research program at HonorHealth Hospitals. Dr. Burke has special interests in the areas of cardiac imaging, echocardiography, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, preventive cardiology and sports cardiology. He also has specific interests in men's health issues and performance in the adult athlete.

John Grieser, RT (R)

John Grieser is an Advanced Clinical Education Specialist with Siemens. He has an extensive experience in all clinical areas for Angiography including IR, Cardiac, EP, Pediatrics, and neuro. John brings several years of clinical experience to the clinical education team.

Christina Ledford, RT (R)

(Speaking in Orange County)


Christina Ledford is a Clinical Education Specialist for Siemens, specializing in Interventional Radiology, Cardiology and Hybrid OR. She has a strong clinical background in all areas of interventional imaging. Christina is responsible for training customers on the Artis zee and Artis Q product lines in both 2D and 3D advanced imaging.

Lecia Jarrell, RT (R)

Lecia Jarrell is a Hybrid OR Clinical Education Consultant and Development Leader. Her extensive clinical background includes cardiology, EP, Interventional Radiology, and Pediatric interventional imaging. Lecia consults with Hybrid OR customers to guide and advise them on their education and training strategies for Hybrid OR.
