Evaluation of Screw Loosening using xSPECT Bone

Improved disease characterization for exact localization

 

CASE HISTORY
72-year-old female patient with lumbar spinal fusion and ongoing postoperative pain after a short period of pain remission. Clinically suspected screw loosening. The bone scan was performed to identify exact localization of loosening.

 

DIAGNOSIS
Screw loosening in right L5 with consecutive reactive surrounding uptake along the rods and adjacent screw.

 

PROTOCOL
Symbia Intevo; 28 mCi [1043 MBq] 99mTc MDP; 45 stops, 25 sec/stop; CT: 110 kV, 72 eff mAs; xSPECT Bone.
