Basic Quality Control for Your MAMMOMAT® NovationDR
Course Description:
This After completion of this 30-minute e.learning, the participant will be able to perform basic quality control on the Novation mammography system. Emphasis will be placed on actual procedures and utilization of the system tools in order to accurately analyze each test. The proper analysis of these tests will ensure satisfactory results during the quality control portion of your MQSA inspection. This introductory program is designed for technologists who are newly involved in a mammography QC program or for those who would like to become involved with QC programs.

 

Breast Pathology in Mammography: What You Need to Know
Course Description:
This session is designed to enable healthcare professionals to identify various types of breast pathologies visualized on a mammogram. The common language of the overall final assessment findings and BIRAD classifications will be reviewed. The advantages and disadvantages of various breast imaging modalities will be discussed, as well as their complementary roles when working up patients with breast cancer. 
 

DICOM- What an Imaging Professional Needs to Know
Course Description:
Knowing DICOM is a must to understanding image workflow management in your clinical setting. In this session, attendees will become familiar with basic DICOM concepts and how they relate to the clinical setting and workflow.

 

Full-Field Digital Mammography
Course Description:
This e.learning course is designed to help the technologist distinguish the differences between Siemens digital and analog systems. The material will also point out the features of the system and how it will maximize workflow in the mammography department.

 

Fundamentals of Digital Mammography Imaging
Course Description:
This session will introduce the participant to the fundamentals of digital imaging relative to mammography. A brief comparison of the digital radiographic process to the screen-film process will be presented. Information relative to digital imaging characteristics will be discussed to assist the participant in understanding the language of digital mammography. Direct digital detector systems will be discussed as well as various image processing algorithms.

 

Image Quality in Mammography – Do You Have What It Takes?
Course Description:
This session will be a discussion of the anatomical, technical, and processing differences that will provide the most optimal image quality in digital mammography. We will discuss how physical differences in breast tissue influence the choices that are made regarding technique and the importance of compression to lower patient dose and also provide a reduction in blurring. As these items are discussed, we will take a look at using the features of the MAMMOMAT® NovationDR and show how these can be used advantageously.

 

Implementing an Effective Treatment Plan
Course Description:
This session is designed to provide the healthcare professional with an overview of breast cancer treatments and some of the variables involved in selection of the appropriate combination of treatment modalities. Treatment options for a person diagnosed with breast cancer and some of the criteria used to decide on optimal management will also be discussed.

 

Image Quality Control - Mammography Processor QC
Course Description:
This e.learning course will introduce and discuss types of artifacts due to processing, how to look for them, what causes them, and suggestions about how to solve them. The material will also explain different types of QC equipment and processing equipment.

 

Mammogaphy Clinical Practices: Image Quality and DICOM
Course Description:
During this virtual education session we will provide you with the criteria explained by the ACR for correct breast positioning. Troubleshooting techniques will be discussed to differentiate mechanical artifacts and when those artifacts should be handled by a service engineer. In addition we will describe the three parts of a DICOM session and what each part does and the IHE profile will be discussed.

Course Description:
This web-based training will help familiarize mammography technologists with the biopsy system components and functionality as well as the installation and configuration of the system.

 

MAMMOMAT Inspiration Biopsy Daily Workflow from A to Z
Course Description:
This web-based training will help familiarize mammography technologists with all of the workflow steps from startup of the system to completion of a stereotactic biopsy.
 

Mammomat Novation to Inspiration-The conversion
Course Description:
During this virtual education session we will compare and contrast the Novation and Inspiration mammography systems. IHE and DICOM headers will be differentiated to understand the role they play on viewing images from the Inspiration. Lastly, Inspiration system highlights will be given to illustrate ease of workflow with the system.

 

MammoTest Case Study e.learning
Course Description:
During this virtual education session we will provide you with information to determine the best approach for a stereotactic biopsy. Troubleshooting techniques will be discussed to differentiate why a specific approach would be preferred over another and benefits of using the lateral arm will be given. All of this combined will allow you to better assist the radiologist during a stereotactic breast biopsy procedure.

Course Description:
This 50 minute presentation will offer mammography technologists with little or no stereotactic breast biopsy experience the basic information necessary to use the Siemens MammoTest system.

 

Optimizing Mammography Workflow through Digital Image Capture
Course Description:
The development of “Digital Image Capture” and its integration into Mammography has had a profound effect on mammography workflow. Every component of the process starting with registration, film room, technical, radiologist interpretation, patient care, and referring physician involvement is positively affected by this technology. Class Description:
This virtual instructor-led training is designed to provide new Siemens users with information on the MAMMOMAT Inspiration Acquisition Work Station security and configurations menus. The learner will also be able to enter a new technologist into the system and assign rights and privileges. Configuration of the system will also be discussed including extensive review of procedure handling and how to add or modify PAO's.

The MAMMOMAT Inspiration Acquisition Work Station
Class Description:
This virtual instructor-led training is designed to provide new Siemens users with information on the general operations of the MAMMOMAT Inspiration Acquisition Work Station utilized in performing mammographic examinations. This training will also include Information about the AWS including the task cards and basic examinations. The facilitator will perform a basic exam to showcase the system functionality utilized during an active examination.
