Description:
The Cardiac CTA fellowship is a 3-day training program for CT technologists who desire to enhance their skills in cardiac and peripheral vascular CT scanning. This program includes live cases in a clinical setting at MUSC, Charleston, SC. Training includes all aspects of cardiac CT scanning from patient preparation to image acquisition and processing.

Description:
This fellowship is designed to primarily observe patient examinations and clinical workflow, and allows for direct interaction with physician and technologist staff. The minimum participation starts with one day. The number of cardiac CTA exams observed will count towards level II accreditation depending on how many cases have been observed.

Objectives:

  • Observe cardiac examinations
  • Get familiar with technical principles of ECG-synchronized cardiac CT and general vascular CT using 64- and 128-slice technology
  • Participate in workstation use for advanced 3D postprocessing and dedicated cardiovascular applications
