syngo Embolization Guidance is a unique application of Siemens for advanced embolization planning and guidance. syngo Embolization Guidance enables the physician to mark the tumor and the tumor feeding arteries in a syngo DynaCT dataset or a pre-interventional 3D dataset. The software calculates the tumor volume and the access path to the tumor.
Superimposing the planning data on live data (e.g. fluoroscopy) speeds up catheter navigation, thereby reducing, contrast medium and radiation dose. The possibility to outline the tumor and automatically measure its volume assists in estimating the necessary amount of embolization material and in monitoring tumor response to therapy.
