Global Compliance Program

"I won't sell the future for short-term profit."

Werner von Siemens (our founder) spoke these words over 150 years ago, and they still ring true for us today. At Siemens, our values—Responsible, Excellent, Innovative—are fundamental to our success. Combined with our Business Conduct Guidelines, our Values provide the basis for our internal rules and regulations and the way we conduct business. At Siemens, compliance means more than just adhering to the law and internal company regulations—compliance is a permanent and integral part of who we are, our business, and our daily work life.

Siemens created a Compliance System that helps to ensure that our business operates in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal principles and rules. It is a comprehensive system of activities divided into three action levels:

  1. Prevent
  2. Detect
  3. Respond

Siemens is committed to the highest standards of ethical business practices. Our culture of integrity strengthens our position as a preferred supplier, employer of choice, and preferred company for investors.

All Siemens, employees contribute to a transparent business environment and sustainable growth of the company. Employees are expected to report misconduct or violations of Siemens guidelines and policies.

The same holds true for our customers, partners, and shareholders. Siemens wants to know your concerns and has implemented a Tell Us Hotline. This hotline is accessible by phone or online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is available in more than 150 languages. All incoming reports are confidential and subject to very high data-security standards. Reports are anonymous and handled immediately.

Other ways to report improper business practices are via:
- The Siemens Ombudsman, an unbiased, externally appointed attorney,
- or the Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Compliance Office,

Retaliation for reporting is illegal and against company policy, and will not be tolerated.

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics is committed to compliant business practices. Further information regarding Siemens’ overall Compliance System is available at the Global Compliance website.
