Siemens joined forces with Stand Up To Cancer® to launch The Baton Pass™, a campaign to support Stand Up To Cancer's innovative, accelerated cancer research, which focuses on getting new therapies to patients quickly and saving lives now.
For every pass of the Baton - either physically or virtually through www.facebook.com/TheBatonPass - from March 19, 2014 through September 5, 2014, Siemens donated $1 to Stand Up To Cancer.
With the help of fans throughout the nation, we reached our goal of $1,000,000.
Throughout the campaign, the Baton traveled to hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, healthcare conferences, public events, and more — and was passed by patients, survivors, family members, doctors, scientists, healthcare providers, and advocates, uniting us all in the fight against cancer. Online, people liked, shared, commented, and tweeted.
The Baton Pass campaign inspired hope while helping to raise much-needed funding to conduct groundbreaking research on new and better treatments for cancer.
